Husband Run Over; Wife Charged

Sheriff’s deputies have accused a 26-year-old Valley woman of running over her husband with a Jeep Cherokee during an argument Friday afternoon.

Teresa L. Petschel, 26, of 208 S. Best Road, was arrested for vehicular assault Friday afternoon, sheriff’s deputies said.

Her husband, Randy Petschel, suffered a broken left ankle and a scraped hip and elbow.

A neighbor, who heard yelling and tires throwing up gravel, found the husband on the ground under the vehicle.

He helped Randy Petschel to his garage, sheriff’s deputies said, while Teresa Petschel called 911. Teresa Petschel left the scene before deputies arrived, but later returned and was arrested, officials said.

The couple had apparently been arguing over the fact that Teresa Petschel had arrived home late, causing her husband to be late for work.

Sheriff’s deputies said the Jeep struck Randy Petschel while he was standing in the road, then ran over his leg after he fell down.

The Cherokee had a dented hood, broken fog light and broken driver’s side mirror, deputies reported.

Couple arrested after metal theft

A Valley couple was arrested early Saturday morning after $900 worth of aluminum tubing, scaffolding and couplers were stolen from Hytopz Inc. on East Broadway.

Sheriff’s deputies believe the aluminum was to be resold. Dallas A. Cline, 35, and Valerie L. Cline, 42, both of 7407 E. Cataldo, No. 5, were arrested for second-degree theft.

An employee at Hytopz called police after seeing two people in the company’s fenced storage yard tying aluminum tubing onto the roof of their car around 3 a.m.

Deputies found the couple at their home. The tubing and scaffolding was piled in the yard, deputies reported.
