Christian Bands Set Concert Dates

The fall concert season brings several Christian bands to Spokane and North Idaho for concerts.

Christafari, a Christian reggae band, kicks off a string of five shows when the band performs at Pines Baptist Church Saturday.

Spokane band Upside joins them on stage.

Christafari played at the 1996 summer Olympics and has toured with big-name Christian acts such as dcTalk, Geoff Moore and The Distance.

Show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 ($10 at the door); gold seats are $13 and group rates are available.

Christian cross-over stars Jars of Clay are scheduled to perform at the Spokane Opera House on Oct. 16. They are joined by the band Plumb.

Geoff Moore and the Distance with guests Out of Eden and Small Town Poets play at the Shadle Park High School auditorium on Oct. 26.

Also at the high school look for Third Day along with All Star United and Switchfoot to perform on Nov. 11.

Both the shows at Shadle Park High School are evening shows, are not associated with the school and are open to the public.

Newsong and Daniel Winans play at the New Life Community Church in Rathdrum on Nov. 16.

Tickets to most shows are (or will soon be) available at area Christian bookstores. Jars of Clay tickets - $18-$25 - will be available through G&B Select-A-Seat, 325-SEAT or (800) 325-SEAT, Saturday.
