Cuba won its seventh straight regional championship in women’s volleyball, defeating the United States in four games to qualify for World Cup.

The Dominican Republic won its first medal ever in the tournament by beating Canada 8-15, 15-9, 15-5, 15-12 in the women’s third-place match.

The Cuban men, also Olympic champions, are favored against the United States tonight in their championship match.
