Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: As a busy mom of four children, I have been color-coding a calendar for years, but I’ve taken it one step further.

They each have their color and that is the color of their toothbrush, their backpacks, snowsuit and gloves, etc. It sounds boring maybe for the kids to have the same color of everything, but they like it.

If they have exactly the same pair of jeans, just different sizes and I get them confused, I use a permanent marker in their color and mark the inside.

This color-coding works great! I suggest it to busy people to help organize their time, as it sure saves a lot of time in our house. - Mary Green, Spokane xxxx
