O’Dwyer Plays Big For St. Maries

Bridgette O’Dwyer had 10 kills and 10 blocks Saturday to guide St. Maries (10-1, 3-0) to a 15-6, 15-8 Intermountain League volleyball win at Bonners Ferry (3-3, 2-2).

Alicia Adams added 33 assists for the Lumberjacks, a State A-2 trophy winner in 16 of the last 17 years.

Lakeside defeated Touchet 16-14, 15-9 in the title match of the Garfield-Palouse tournament.

Angela Flint had 17 kills and 15 digs, and Mary Kolar added 18 kills as the Knights prevailed over the host Vikings, Prescott, Colfax’s junior varsity and Touchet.

Missy Blackshire’s 15 kills and two aces helped host Ferris (6-1) bounce back from Friday’s loss to Mead with a 15-8, 15-4, 15-7 win over Gonzaga Prep (3-3) in the Greater Spokane League.

Julie Weatherred added 10 digs and Janelle Morrisette 27 assists for the Saxons. Rose Sacco had 16 assists and six digs for the Bullpups.

Rikki Jackson served the last seven points to lead visiting Central Valley (2-4) over Mt. Spokane 15-10, 15-13, 15-3.

Martha Roberts added 15 assists for the Bears. Danielle Stewart totaled 11 assists for the Wildcats.

Raejean Hedrick had two kills and a block to break a 10-all, fourth-game tie as Colville (3-0) outlasted visiting Pullman 15-12, 13-15, 15-13, 15-11 in the Great Northern League.

Lindsey Braff totaled 17 digs and five aces for the Indians. Becky Davis had 11 digs for the Greyhounds (1-2), who rallied from a 7-0 deficit to take the second game.

Girls soccer

Holly Davidson’s two goals and two assists guided Moscow (4-2-0) to a 9-0 decision over visiting Bonners Ferry (0-4-0) in a North Idaho League match.

Eight players scored for the Bears, who didn’t attempt a shot in the second half.

Tracy Koesel finished with four goals and one assist to lead Riverside (2-0) to a 13-0 Great Northern League win over visiting Chewelah (0-3) at Chattaroy.
