London Children Pay Homage To Diana

Compiled From Wire Services

More than 100 children from London hospitals supported by Princess Diana on Sunday visited the scene of the car crash in Paris where she was killed three weeks ago.

A convoy of 66 black taxis drove the 126 children, many in wheelchairs, to the Pont de l’Alma bridge along the Seine River where Diana’s Mercedes crashed in a traffic tunnel.

The children, from the Great Ormond Street and other London hospitals, stopped in the city on their way home to England after a visit to Disneyland Paris.

Diana regularly visited the Great Ormond Street hospital, and a spokesman for the hospital said the princess’s visits were treasured.
