Reward Offered In Assault Case

Secret Witness is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of two men accused of burglarizing and assaulting a 71-year-old woman in her home on Sept. 15.

The woman said she surprised the men as they were looting her home, which they entered by breaking a living room window.

Once she was in the house, she said one of the men threw her to the floor, tied her hands and put a pillow over her head.

The woman told her attackers she needed medication for a heart condition. One of the men brought her the pills from the kitchen.

The attackers are accused of taking the woman’s wallet, a bracelet and her car, a 1989 Honda Accord. The car was found abandoned on East Sprague around 9 p.m. the same day.
