Nick Bates squeezed quite a season into one game, accounting for 591 rushing yards and eight touchdowns during Colton’s 70-20 non-league eight-man win over Kootenai (2-3) of Harrison, Idaho.

Bates finished with 21 carries, including six TD runs of 55 yards or greater. Colton, a State B-8 quarterfinalist last year, improved to 3-0.
