Secret Witness Seeking Tips On Hit-And-Run Fatality

Secret Witness is offering a reward for information about an unsolved hit-and-run death.

A car ran down 21-year-old Shannon Johnson while he was riding a bicycle on Oct. 1, 1983. The driver didn’t stop. Johnson lay beside the road at Sullivan near 21st Avenue for 20 minutes before he was found.

He was taken to a hospital, but died the next day.

The car was a 1980 or 1983 Ford LTD or Crown Victoria. The car was white, and pieces of it were found at the site of the collision. The car’s right headlight and front amber light were broken by the collision. The hood and fender also may have been damaged.

Anyone with information should call Secret Witness at 327-5111. Callers do not have to give their name to be eligible for the money.
