Missing Woman Turns Up In Reno

Associated Press

A Woodinville woman who disappeared after she left work early Friday has turned up in Reno, Nev., King County Police said Monday.

Police originally had said the disappearance of Carol Cameron, 50, was suspicious.

Her purple 1995 Nissan Altima was missing, and she had reportedly told her husband on Friday she would be home after running a few errands after work.

But Carol Cameron called her husband Monday morning from a motel in Reno, King County Police spokeswoman Joanne Elledge said.

The woman declined to tell KOMO-TV why she abruptly left town, but said she was OK, was not the victim of a crime, and had some things to work out with her family.

Police confirmed she had checked into a Reno hotel, and asked Reno police to check on her as a precaution, Elledge said.

Carol Cameron was described by family and friends as happy and reliable.

She worked as a bookkeeper for a Bellevue Internet provider.
