Man Held On Assault And Drug Charges In Alleged Rape Attempt

A Spokane man was arrested Friday after he allegedly abducted a woman, forced her into his car and attempted to rape her at his home, police said.

Michael D. Ridnour, 37, was still inside his home on 2603 N. Hogan when officers arrived. He was in possession of methamphetamine, according to police.

The 28-year-old victim said Ridnour threatened her with a straight razor. She ran from his house and escaped when he allowed her to get a glass of water in the kitchen.

Ridnour was booked into jail for assault and possession of a controlled substance.
