Police Identify Man Killed In North Spokane On Friday

A north Spokane man who was shot to death Friday has been identified as Wayne L. Tolbert.

The 32-year-old man had a confrontation over money with his killer, police said.

He was found dead just inside the front door of his home at 1314 N. Madelia.

Neighbor Randall Devroy was watching television when shots were fired at 12:45 a.m. Moments later, someone banged on his door and yelled for him to call the police.

“Cops are there constantly,” said Devroy of the house next door. “People are always going in and out at night.”

Witnesses told police they saw a white man get in a car and drive away after the shooting.

No arrests have been made.
