Man Wounded During Home Invasion

A 52-year-old man was shot in the face and chest during a home invasion robbery Tuesday, authorities said.

Stanley Laz was listed in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Laz was shot near the Flowing Lake Golf Course, of which he is part owner.

Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said the attack took place shortly after 9 a.m. Laz, who lives alone, dialed 911 and said, “I’ve been shot.”

Deputies are looking for a white 1997 Dodge Neon stolen in the robbery, Jorgensen said.
