Sasquatch Pull Stunner At Cbcc

Community Colleges of Spokane scored just four of the game’s first 28 points Wednesday but rallied to defeat Columbia Basin 62-60 in a NWAACC men’s basketball game in Pasco.

The key run in CCS’s favor came in the final 5:50 when the Sasquatch (10-12, 2-6 NWAACC) held the Hawks (17-4, 7-2) scoreless to overcome a 60-50 deficit.

Spokane regained the lead at 61-60 when Cedrick Day scored with 38 seconds remaining. Steve Merbach made one free throw with 3 seconds left to finish the scoring.
