West Valley Stuns Cheney

Border/GNL

West Valley hit its late free throws while Cheney hit the wall (figuratively) and the ceiling (literally).

The Blackhawks (14-5, 11-4) led 62-59 with 52 seconds left when Gregg hit two free throws after securing one of his 12 rebounds.

Cheney’s James Kiger then missed a breakaway layup and fouled Gregg, who hit two more with 38 seconds left for a one-point lead.

Deno finished his 26-point performance with two more free throws, then Cheney had a turnover when the ball hit the ceiling. Browning, hitting 1 of 2, capped the win.
