Irs Will Help With Problems Wednesday

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Internal Revenue Service will hold a “Problem Solving Day” Wednesday in Spokane for people needing tax help.

IRS officials will be available from noon to 8 p.m. at the agency’s offices in the Federal Building at 920 W. Riverside.

Taxpayers can get help with any ongoing problems, from non-filing to lost refunds.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling 1-800-829-1040 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Calling ahead will ensure the agency has the proper documentation in hand. Walk-ins, however, also will be accepted.

“A person doesn’t have to wait for Problem Solving Day if they have a problem,” said Karl Bargmeyer, IRS spokesman.

“They can call the number any time, explain their problems and we’ll look into it,” he said.
