Teen Arrested After Pot Found In Pants

Drug officers arrested a Coeur d’Alene teenager Wednesday after finding a half pound of marijuana stuffed in his pants, police said.

Members of the Kootenai County Drug Task Force arrested the 18-year-old while helping Odessa, Wash., officers apprehend a man wanted on a robbery warrant. That man, whose name was not available, was arrested at 2922 N. Francis in Coeur d’Alene.

Police said Dutch R. Renecker came to the home while officers, who had noticed drug paraphernalia while arresting the robbery suspect, were waiting for a warrant to search the house. Officers asked Renecker if he had any weapons, and the teenager reached for his pants.

When officers asked him what he was reaching for, Renecker said, “A bag full of weed,” said Capt. Carl Bergh, task force commander.

Renecker was booked into the Kootenai County Jail on charges of possessing marijuana with intent to deliver and possessing drug paraphernalia.
