Wild For Teachers

Project Wild

Two Project Wild workshops for teachers and youth leaders are scheduled for March and April by the Idaho Fish and Game Department.

Project Wild is a wildlife-oriented, multi-disciplinary set of activities that develop awareness, knowledge and skills about the relationships between humans, wildlife and the natural world. The project guides help teachers use wildlife concepts to teach basics in math, science, social studies, art, language arts and other subjects. They do not take time away from established curriculums, said Phil Cooper, department spokesman in Coeur d’Alene.

The workshops are set for March 6-7 at Hayden Meadows Elementary School and April 17-18 at Fernan Elementary School.

Project Wild was developed in cooperation with teachers and is used in 50 states and seven countries.
