Old Newborn

A boy conceived seven years ago was born Monday at a Los Angeles hospital. The 8-pound, 15-ounce boy, pictured with his doctors, was developed from an embryo frozen in 1989 when his parents underwent infertility treatment. He is the twin of a child that was conceived on the same day from a different egg. That boy was born in 1990. Despite the embryo’s age, the birth was not a medical first. The Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia said a baby born there in December was from an embryo that had been frozen about four months longer
