Southwest Airlines Adds Vegas Service

From Staff And Wire Reports

Southwest Airlines is adding nonstop Saturday service from Spokane to Las Vegas.

Starting April 11, passengers can take the Saturday flights for an introductory one-way fare of $69. To get that fare, tickets must be purchased within one day of making a reservation, and at least seven days before departure. The fare is good for travel through June 13.

The $69 fare is good only on Saturdays, so a passenger returning from Las Vegas on a different day would pay a higher fare for the return trip, according to Southwest officials.

“We are able to offer these flights by utilizing aircraft that would normally be sitting idle somewhere due to our reduced Saturday flying schedule,” said Dave Ridley, Southwest’s vice president of marketing and sales.

Southwest offers regularly-scheduled service from Spokane to Las Vegas on all other days of the week, but those flights all involve at least one other stop along the way.
