Two Hurt In Sideswipe On Pass

A tractor-trailer hit a pickup truck and jackknifed along Interstate 90 near Lookout Pass late Wednesday, slowing traffic along the hill, Idaho State Police troopers said.

The semitruck was attempting to pass the pickup in the westbound lanes of I-90 about 7:30 p.m. when the pickup drifted into its path. The pickup was hit and the tractor-trailer jackknifed in the roadway, troopers said.

The semi driver, Doyle Reeves, 41, of Orchards, Wash., was uninjured. The pickup driver, Aubrey Head, 71, of Auburn, Wash., was taken to Silver Valley Medical Center in Wallace with minor injuries.
