Victim Robbed By Woman With Blade

From Staff Reports

A woman held a razor blade to another woman’s face and wrestled her purse away late Tuesday in front of a Coeur d’Alene grocery store, according to police.

Donna Montee, the 56-year-old victim, struggled with her assailant until her purse strap snapped. The woman fled with the purse and Montee was not injured, according to a police report.

Montee told police her attacker demanded her purse as she left Rosauers on Appleway. She pulled a utility knife razor blade from her jacket pocket when Montee refused, according to the report.

The woman ran to a waiting car. The older two-door was last seen driving north on U.S. Highway 95 from Haycraft Avenue, the police report said.

The woman was described as 16 to 21 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 110 to 120 pounds. She had brown, collar-length hair and was wearing a dark-colored fleece jacket and blue jeans.
