NEW FACES:

Adams and Clark Inc. has hired R. Bruce Noble as engineering manager. Noble, a professional engineer, has more than 23 years of civil engineering and land surveying experience and was formerly the city engineer for Post Falls. He will oversee engineering operations at Adams and Clark offices in Spokane and Post Falls.

Robin Lovejoy has joined CDI Corp.-West as branch manager. Lovejoy, who was previously with Zeck-Butler Associates, is responsible for the Eastern Washington and Idaho region. CDI provides temporary/contract technical and engineering staffing services.

Trilby Dorn has joined the Seattle office of the international law firm of Graham and James LLP. Dorn, an associate, practices litigation and environmental law. She received her law degree from Tulane Law School and her undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College. Dorn has served as a law clerk for the Federal Defenders of Western Washington and as a legal intern to the Washington Environmental Council.

Jeanne Gibbs has joined Intermountain Marketing Inc. as account manager for service deli business. Gibbs was previously a service deli buyer for Super Valu Spokane.

The following individuals have been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society:

Dr. Robert Corbett has joined Northpointe Family Medicine. Corbett, who received his medical training at Rush University, completed a residency at Valley Medical Center North in 1997.

Michael Brady, a physicians assistant, has joined Rockwood Clinic. Brady graduated from a physician’s assistant program at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1995.

Dr. Mark Mueller has joined Rockwood Clinic in the practice of internal medicine. Mueller graduated from the University of California at Irvine in 1981 and completed an internship and residency at Cottage Hospital.

Dr. E. David Hurley joined Rockwood Clinic’s Cheney facility in the practice of family medicine. Hurley, who graduated from the University of Washington in 1994, completed an internship and residency at the ISU Family Practice Residency Program.

Peter Maricich, a senior principal engineer for The Boeing Co. and 1973 Gonzaga alumnus, has joined Gonzaga University’s School of Engineering faculty for a one-year appointment as a visiting scholar under terms of a pilot program called the Boeing Fellow on Campus. The program is designed to promote changes in undergraduate technical education and help academia become more responsive to industry needs, among other goals.

MOVING UP:

Sterling Savings Association has promoted Heidi Stanley and David Bobbitt to executive vice president. Stanley, who oversees corporate administration, joined Sterling in 1985 and was promoted to vice president in 1986. She joined Sterling’s senior management team in 1988 as vice president/administration and in 1990 was promoted to senior vice president. Bobbitt is in charge of branch administration. He was hired by Sterling in 1996 as community banking senior vice president. Before joining Sterling, Bobbitt was with West One Bank for 26 years, most recently as executive vice president and manager/branch administration.

Carol Marsengill has been promoted to assistant vice president of Sterling Savings Association. Marsengill, who is a dealer account officer in Sterling’s Dealer Banking Division, joined the company in 1997 with more than 19 years of experience in dealer banking. She was with Seafirst for eight years, Security Pacific/Rainier for four years and was an assistant vice president and business development officer for U.S. Bank/West One just prior to joining Sterling.

Robert Lindsay has been promoted to branch manager of the Spokane office of EMCON. Lindsay is a registered geologist with 13 years of experience, including eight years with EMCON. He received a bachelor’s degree in environmental geology from Western Washington University and completed graduate level studies in engineering geology, soil mechanics and hydrology at California State University. He also manages the Solid Waste and Site Restoration Services Groups in Spokane.

Medical Service Corp. of Eastern Washington and Blue Cross of Washington and Alaska have named Brent Stanyer as director of network development in Eastern Washington. Stanyer will oversee provider relations and provider contracting. He joined MSC in 1996 as associate general counsel. Prior to joining MSC, he practiced health care law in Spokane and worked in network development from 1987-89 for FHP, a health care coverage company in Southern California.

MOVING ON:

Bill Dezellem, a chartered financial analyst, has joined Financial Aims Corp. in Great Falls, Mont., as vice president, senior portfolio manager. Dezellem previously was vice president and senior research analyst for ICM Investment Management in Spokane.

The Eastern Washington Subcontractors and Suppliers Association has moved its office to 5813 E. 4th, Suite 202, Spokane, 99212.

Mutual of Omaha plans to move its Inland Northwest Division Office on Thursday. The new location, which will open for business Friday, will be 505 North Argonne, Suite 5, Spokane, 99212.

H.H. “Larry” Larison , president of Columbia Paint, was elected chairman of the board of directors of the National Paint and Coatings Association. The association represents 400 members of the paint and coatings industry and its suppliers.

Pacific Marketing Group, a Spokane-based marketing communications company, has become part of WhiteRunkle Associates. Founded in 1973, Pacific Marketing Group specializes in business-to-business marketing communications. President and owner Scott MacKelvie will serve as account supervisor at WhiteRunkle.

KUDOS:

Charlie Parrish, owner/broker of Evergreen Realty in Sandpoint, was named top producer for 1997 by the Bonner County Association of Realtors. This award recognizes the Realtor who has sold the most dollar volume of real estate during the years. Parrish has been in the real estate business for more than 13 years.
