As Good As It Gets Ii

James L. Brooks and Mark Andrus, the authors of the film “As Good As It Gets” beat the writers of the seemingly unsinkable “Titanic” and the feel-good favorite “Good Will Hunting” to win the Writers Guild of America award for original screenplay on Saturday. Brooks, who also directed the romantic comedy, shared a career achievement award for television writing, too. He was honored, along with Allan Burns, for work on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Room 222.”
