A host of area businesses and organizations are expected to participate in NorthTown Mall’s Community Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the Sears/Emporium Court.
The day is designed to give various non-profit organizations an opportunity to offer information about their groups.
The day also includes other activities including three performances by The Singing Nuns in the JC Penney Court. The Spokane Humane Society will have several pets available for adoption.
Neva-Woods COPS will be selling raffle tickets for a limited edition “Princess Di” Beanie Baby. Two autographed copies of “Kids are Punny” by Rosie O’Donnell will be raffled by the Coalition of Disabled Responsible Adults.
Among participating organizations are the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, the Foster Parent Association of Spokane, the Greater Spokane Dietetic Association, Crosswalk, the Spokane County Domestic Violence Consortium, the Spokane Alliance for the Mentally Ill, the Inland Northwest AGC’s Carpenter and Operator Apprenticeship Program, and the Spokane Falls Community College Professional Technical Program.
