More Than One Student Aces Test Section

Amy Scribner Staff writer

Spokane School District 81 may have more smart cookies on its hands than it knows.

We asked the district last month for names of those who aced either section of the Scholastic Aptitude Test with a perfect 800. After lots of phone calls, the district came up with one name, that of Ferris High School student Scott Siera who was featured in last week’s South Side Voice.

It turns out at least two South Side students posted perfect scores on a section of the test.

Greg Johnson from Lewis and Clark aced the SAT’s verbal section.

District spokeswoman Terren Roloff said the oversight occurred because the district’s testing office doesn’t keep track of that data.

“We instead called each high school individually to get that information,” she said. Roloff said an LC counselor didn’t mention Johnson’s perfect score.

Any other nice, round 800s out there?
