Reggie White and Gilbert Brown of the Green Bay Packers gave the thumbs-up to their health, saying they’re ready for Sunday’s NFL playoff showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brown has been hampered by ankle, hip and knee injuries. White missed time with a bad back and a case of pneumonia that sapped his strength and stamina.

Andy Benes ended his attempts to re-sign with the St. Louis Cardinals, telling the players’ association to withdraw the grievance it had filed to validate his $30 million, five-year contract.
