Two Shot At New Year’s Eve Party

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two people were hospitalized early Thursday after they were shot at a New Year’s Eve party, police reported.

Spokane police spokesman Dick Cottam said neither of the victims’ injuries were life-threatening.

Details about the shooting were sketchy. Police did not identify the victims, or report whether they were male or female.

Cottam said the shooting occurred about 1 a.m. on the 1000 block of West Spofford. The gunman used a small-caliber handgun. Witnesses described the shooter as a black man with his hair styled in corn rows. He fled in a car, Cottam said. , DataTimes
