Tomba Finishes First

Italy’s Alberto Tomba skied to his first World Cup win in a year.

Tomba charged to the lead after the first round and then held off a challenge by Austria’s Thomas Sykora for his 49th career victory.

Tomba finished the two runs in 1 minute, 34.12 seconds, a solid 0.89 seconds ahead of Sykora.
