The committee will discuss the city’s policy on extending utilities outside city limits.

Boundary Review Board

Monday, 3 p.m., public works building

The board will sign a decision it made last month allowing the city of Spokane to annex 12 acres that include the Humane Society building northeast of the current city boundaries.

Spokane City Council

Monday, 3:30 p.m. council briefing, lower-level conference room

6 p.m. regular meeting

City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls

The council will consider reducing the penalties attached to repeat false alarms calls.

Spokane County Commissioners

Tuesday, 9 a.m. briefing, county courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway Ave.

2 p.m. weekly meeting, public works building, 1026 W. Broadway Ave.

Among other matters at the 2 p.m. meeting, commissioners will consider a proposal from High Nooner restaurant to operate a cafeteria in the courthouse.

Spokane Hearing Examiner

James O. Hagan wants to rezone property at 1203 W. Francis Ave. so that he can increase the number of off-street parking spaces to 18.

Spokane City Plan Commission

Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. regular meeting, second-floor conference room

City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls

The commission will discuss a proposal to change the Lincoln Heights neighborhood plan to allow mixed-use developments.

Spokane Design Review Committee

Wednesday, 3 p.m. regular meeting, lower-level conference room

The committee will discuss the sidewalk use ordinance for areas outside the central business district.

Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board

Wednesday, 2-4 p.m., Phase 1 classroom building auditorium

Board will solicit public input on higher education services in Eastern Washington.

Spokane District 81 School Board

Regular board meeting, followed by executive session to discuss collective bargaining strategies.

Spokane County Planning Commission

Thursday, 9 a.m., public works building

Among other business, the commission will: Hold a public hearing to consider minimum lot sizes for the urban residential land-use zone; consider changing the zoning code to allow golf driving ranges on land zoned for regional businesses; consider allowing self-service storage centers on land zoned for community businesses.

Spokane County Library District board of trustees

Thursday, 3:30 p.m., Argonne Library, 4322 N. Argonne Road

Among other business, the board will reaffirm the employee whistleblower protection policy.
