Man Allegedly Hit Woman, Killed Her Cat

A Spokane man was arrested Friday for allegedly beating his girlfriend and killing her cat, police said.

Jason T. Stockler, 22, was booked into the county jail on suspicion of domestic violence. Police also are pursuing animal cruelty charges.

Stockler is accused of hitting his girlfriend in the face early Friday morning after she returned from an outing with friends.

He allegedly threw one of her cats against a wall in their East Rowan apartment and choked a small dog.

After arresting Stockler, police found the body of a cat belonging to the woman in an outside garbage can. , DataTimes
