Sasquatch Fall In Double Overtime

Jeremy Miller scored 24 points, including two free throws in the final seconds of the second overtime Saturday night, to lift Blue Mountain to a 97-95 junior college men’s basketball victory over visiting Community Colleges of Spokane.

Miller’s game-winning points came shortly after Spokane’s Modesto Spencer had tied the game at 95 on a 3-pointer with 8 seconds remaining in the period.

Spencer finished with a game-high 27 points, but couldn’t prevent the Sasquatch from falling to 0-2 in the East Region of the NWAACC.

Danny Houston added 21 points for CCS and Brian Darnold chipped in 18, including a bucket that tied the game with 8 seconds left in regulation and forced the first overtime.
