Sen. Murray’s Mother Dies Of Heart Failure
Sen. Patty Murray’s mother, Beverly Johns of Bothell, Wash., died of heart failure Monday night, the senator’s office said Tuesday. She was 70.
Johns had been living at her home in the Seattle area but it was not immediately known where she was at the time of her death, Murray press secretary Rex Carney said.
Murray, D-Wash., spent Tuesday with members of her family in Seattle and temporarily suspended her official schedule, Carney said.
Funeral arrangements were pending. Murray’s father, David Johns, died of heart failure last spring at the age of 73.
