The Volunteers, threatened briefly when No. 19 Georgia put together a second-half run, overpowered the Bulldogs down the stretch for a 96-71 victory at Athens, Ga., as Chamique Holdsclaw scored 25 and Tamika Catchings added 23.

Tennessee (18-0, 5-0 SEC) has won every game this season by at least 10 points, a streak the Bulldogs (10-5, 1-2) seemed poised to threaten when they sliced a 26-point deficit to 73-64 with 7:23 remaining. But the Vols scored the next eight points.
