Edna Campbell scored 25 points Wednesday night to lead the Colorado Xplosion to their fourth straight victory, an 84-65 triumph over the Seattle Reign.

Trailing 4-3 early, the Xplosion went on a 10-point run - eight of them from Debbie Black - to go ahead 13-4. Colorado never trailed after that.

Colorado shot .583 from the field during the first half and held a 49-34 lead at the break. The Reign never got closer than 13 points after that.

The Xplosion tied a team record with 18 steals and 24 forced turnovers.

Tari Phillips scored 13 points for the Xplosion, and Black finished with 10.

Kate Starbird led Seattle with 17 points.

Katie Smith scored 23 points as Columbus extended its winning streak to six games.

Valerie Still added 17 points, Sonja Tate 14 and Tonya Edwards 10 for the Quest (25-7), which has won 14 in a row at home and leads the Eastern Conference by nine games over second-place New England.

Elaine Powell had 18 points, Molly Goodenbour 15 and Natalie Williams 11 with 11 rebounds for the Power (19-14), the second-place team in the West.

San Jose, Calif.

Clarisse Machanguana’s free throw sparked a late 7-0 run that helped San Jose defeat Long Beach.

It was San Jose’s second straight victory against Long Beach in both teams’ last game before Sunday’s All-Star Game in Orlando, Fla.

Machanguana scored 15 points for the Lasers, followed by Charlotte Smith with 14 points. Kedra Holland-Corn and Sheri Sam each scored 13 and Jennifer Azzi had 10.

Yolanda Griffith had a career-high 29 points and added 18 rebounds for Long Beach. Venus Lacy and Niesa Johnson had 12 each.
