Alpine skiing/snowboarding

Mount Spokane will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the remainder of the season. It will open regular hours Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Night skiing is available Saturday for $10 from 4 to 9 p.m. Info: 238-2220.

Schweitzer has all chairs running except Chair 4 and is operating 22 machine-groomed runs, including Zip Down.

Nordic skiing

The Methow Valley received a foot of snow this week. Groomers are running daily, so trails should be in great condition. A skate clinic will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. for intermediate skaters and 11 a.m. for beginners at Chickadee. Also, sign up for the 35K Rendezvous Mountain Tour Jan. 24. Info: 996-3287.

The Newport Ranger Station has reported good skiing conditions on Upper Wolf Trail and the Geophysical trails north of Newport.

Snowmobiling

Beaver Lodge in Colville received close to a foot of snow this week. Groomers are out daily. Cabins are going fast. Info: 684-5657.
