Free Throws Keep Ritzville Rolling With Win That Cools Off Freeman

Ritzville and Freeman entered Tuesday’s game on a roll.

Ritzville is still on the roll, as Dan Duff hit 6 of 6 free throws in the fourth quarter to help defeat host Freeman 49-47 in a non-league boys basketball game.

The Broncos (8-6) totaled 12 steals and finished with eight fewer turnovers than Freeman (10-4). Ritzville has won six of its last eight, while the Scotties entered on a 6-1 streak.

Clarkston’s Sam Nielson hit a 3-pointer with 3:10 left to snap a 31-all tie. Colfax had 22 turnovers and shot 35 percent from the floor.
