Man Escapes After Robbing Downtown Motel

A man robbed a clerk at a downtown Spokane motel Tuesday evening, Spokane police said.

The man walked into the Suntree 8 Inn, 123 S. Post, just before 8 p.m., and threatened a clerk. Police did not say whether a weapon was involved. The man escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and valuables, police said.

The man is described as black, in his 30s, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 200 pounds. He has a mustache with ends that turn down to the chin. He was wearing a black, down ski jacket and a stocking cap. , DataTimes
