‘Good Will Hunting’ Showcases New Talent

They’re now Golden Globe winners, and anyone who has seen “Good Will Hunting” knows why. Co-writers Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, who also star in the film, gave director Gus Van Sant his best chance at making a mainstream film. And the man responsible for such cult films as “Drugstore Cowboy” came through. Of course, Damon’s acting helped him out. A lot. This talented newcomer makes Chris O’Donnell redundant.
