9-Year-Old Boy Drowns In Bathtub

A 9-year-old Spokane Valley boy drowned in the bathtub at his home Tuesday evening, Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies said.

The unidentified boy was taking a bath alone at the home in the 2800 block of South Skipworth when his older sister went to check on him about 6:10 p.m. She found him lying in about eight inches of water, deputies said.

Their parents were not home at the time, deputies said.
