2 Idaho Residents Hurt In Crash

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two Idaho residents remained in serious condition at Deaconess Medical Center late Thursday after a one-car rollover accident in Lincoln County, said Washington State Patrol troopers.

Richard Kellberg, 68, of Bayview, and Sylvia Tope, 63, of Athol, suffered head and arm injuries in the accident. Another passenger, Hubert Polland, 67, of Kennewick, was treated at Deaconess for bumps and bruises and released.

It was not known if anyone was wearing a seat belt.

A 1991 Ford Thunderbird driven by Kellberg was westbound on Interstate 90 just east of Sprague about 3:40 p.m. when the car drifted into the median. Kellberg overcorrected and the vehicle rolled onto the right shoulder of the road, troopers said. , DataTimes
