Saddle-Sore Pair Set Snowmobile Record

From Staff And Wire Reports

Ask Randy Gravatt what the best part of snowmobiling for 24 hours is, and he will tell you it is the fans.

“It’s really great to have all the people here,” said Gravatt after traveling about 1,289 miles. “We probably had about 100 people up here, cheering us on.”

Gravatt and longtime friend Joe Williams, both of Island Park, broke the world record for snowmobiling the most miles in 24 hours Wednesday. The 1,289-mile ride smashed a previous 912-mile mark in the Guiness Book of World Records. The two men also set that record during a 1996 Island Park blizzard.
