Deputies Arrest Man For Residential Burglary

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 24-year-old man Wednesday after his ex-girlfriend said he broke into her home and ripped the phone cord out of the wall while she tried to call the police.

The couple had broken up earlier in the day, deputies said.

Michael C. Freeman of Elk was arrested for residential burglary just after midnight. Deputies said he broke into a home in the 8500 block of East Mission, and was in the living room when they arrived.

The 22-year-old Valley woman was not injured, but the suspect suffered a cut hand, apparently from smashing a glass window in the back door, deputies said.

The woman told deputies Freeman had called just before midnight and she had asked him not to come over. , DataTimes
