Lewullis’ Career-High 24 Paces Princeton Victory

Gabe Lewullis tied a career-high with 24 points and scored eight in a late first-half run that sparked No. 11 Princeton to an 86-61 Ivy League victory over Cornell on Friday night in Princeton, N.J.

Coming off one of its worst efforts of the season against Division III College of New Jersey, Princeton (15-1, 3-0) scored a season high in winning its eighth straight. The Tigers beat Cornell (6-11, 3-2) for the ninth straight time and defeated their 18th consecutive Ivy League opponent.

Montana 60, Idaho St. 55

J.R. Camel scored 17 points to lead the Grizzlies to victory over the Bengals at Pocatello, Idaho.

The Grizzlies (12-11 overall, 5-5 Big Sky Conference) took the lead with 1:58 left in the game on a Camel layup to make it 52-50.

Montana increased its lead to seven with 34 seconds left before a Tywan Meadows layup for Idaho State (5-14, 1-8) cut the final margin to five.

West Coast Conference

Pepperdine 91, SM 65

At Malibu, Calif., Gerald Brown had a game-high 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Waves easily defeated the Saint Mary’s Gaels. Only one player from Saint Mary’s (8-11, 3-4), Eric Schraeder, scored in double figures. He had 17 points.

At Los Angeles, Haywood Eaddy scored 18 points and Peter Cornell added 16 points as the Lions (6-13, 2-5) defeated the Toreros (9-10, 1-6).
