Valley Man Arrested After Threats Made

Sat., Jan. 31, 1998

A 29-year-old Valley man was arrested Thursday morning after an acquaintance said the man walked into his home, threatened to hurt him and kicked over a kitchen garbage can, sheriff’s deputies said.

James D. Stoudt, 606 S. Pierce, was arrested for residential burglary.

A 19-year-old man who lives in the 8900 block of East Knox told police that the suspect had started yelling at him through a basement window while he was watching television early Thursday morning.

Thinking it was a friend playing a joke, the man went upstairs and looked out through the rear sliding glass door.

The man told deputies he saw the suspect walking toward the door with clenched fists. The suspect opened the unlocked door and went inside. He began threatening the 19-year-old, deputies said.

He left after the owner of the home ordered him to get out.
