Hulman Horse Honored

When Mari Hulman George talks about horsepower, she doesn’t necessarily mean the kind found at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

George, the IMS chairman of the board and mother of Speedway president Tony George, also breeds race horses at her Circle S Ranch in Terre Haute, Ind. And one of her horses, Especially Rare, will be honored Saturday as the American Quarter Horse Association’s 3-year-old colt of the year for 1997.
