Power’s Dunn Chosen
Lin Dunn, who led the Portland Power from the worst record in the ABL last year to the Western Conference regular-season championship this year, won the league’s coach of the year award. Dunn, who compiled a 296-68 record in nine seasons at Purdue, took over the Power late in the 1996-97 season.
The team went 9-9 after Dunn became coach, finishing with a 14-26 record. This year, Portland got off to a 6-0 start and finished 27-17.
