‘The Front Porch’ Offers Views Of Reader Panel

A new reader-written column will debut next week in the Valley Voice.

“The Front Porch,” a commentary piece written each week by a member of our new Council of Contributors, will appear every Thursday in the Voice.

The council is made up of 20 readers who will take turns writing this new opinion column while also serving in an advisory capacity to the newspaper’s Valley editorial staff.

The column will offer Valley people’s perspectives on Valley issues, ranging from air quality to zoning codes, along with occasional slice-of-life stories.

The column is part of our ongoing effort to get readers more involved with the newspaper and, more specifically, to get more Valley voices into the pages of the Voice.

Along with the first Front Porch, Thursday’s Voice will also introduce you to your neighbors who will be writing the column.

We hope you’ll look for The Front Porch next week and every Thursday in the Valley Voice.
