Disaster Services Seeks Input On Flooding Plan
Kootenai County Disaster Services is holding another series of meetings to collect input on a flood damage reduction plan for the county.
The county received a $15,000 grant from the Idaho Bureau of Disaster Services to develop a plan that would reduce the effects of flooding and improve the county’s flood insurance rating.
The community workshops are scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m., March 24 at the Rathdrum Fire Station; March 25 in Building 1 of the Kootenai County Fairgrounds; and March 26 at the Rose Lake Historical Society building in Rose Lake.
Individuals can also drop in between 4 and 6 p.m. on those dates to give their comments.
The disaster services planning team also will have a booth at the Silver Lake Mall on March 28 at which time citizens can make additional suggestions.
