Lincoln, Stevens Levies Passing

Four school levies were passing Tuesday in Lincoln and Stevens counties, and a fifth levy in Ferry County was a whisker below the necessary 60 percent majority.

Here are the results:

Lincoln County - Creston School District, 248 yes, 138 no, 64.3 percent approval; Harrington, 178 yes, 87 no, 67.2 percent approval; Sprague, 110 yes, 53 no, 67.5 percent approval.

Stevens County - Onion Creek School District, 47 yes, 11 no, 81 percent approval.

Ferry County - Republic School District, 690 yes, 477 no, 59.1 percent approval.

The Republic election was by mail-in ballots. All those returned by Tuesday were counted, but more than enough could still arrive with valid postmarks to change the result. , DataTimes
